INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION OF AUDITORS FOR THE UNIFORM SYSTEM OF ACCOUNTS (USOA)
Under Section 10 (k) of the Electricity Act, Chapter 145 of the Laws of Uganda, the Electricity Regulatory Authority is mandated to establish a Uniform System of Accounts for Licensees.
The Authority in May 2020, prescribed and gazetted the Electricity (Uniform System of Accounts) Regulations, 2020, to prescribe reporting procedures and requirements for Licensees and holders of Certificates of Exemption for purposes of achieving uniformity. and consistent reporting to elements that are required for Tariff setting approval, and monitoring.
Regulation 12 (1) of the Electricity (Uniform System of Accounts) Regulations, 2020, provides for the Authority to prequalify auditors for purposes of Auditing the Uniform System of Accounts once every year.
In light of the above, the Authority would, therefore, wish to shortlist the Auditors for the Uniform System of Accounts from which Licensees and holders of Certificates of Exemption may appoint their Auditors for the Years 2024 and beyond.
Application Procedure
Request for Prequalification Documents should be sent to: pdu@era.go.ug.
A complete set of Registration Documents in English shall be issued by email to the Interested Providers after receiving an email from the Provider with proof of payment of UGX. 100,000 on the ERA Bank Account.
Interested eligible providers may obtain further information from the Manager Procurement & Disposal Unit at the New ERA House, 2nd Floor Room 2.10, from 08:00 AM to 4:00 PM during official working days or via email: pdu@era.go.ug.
