| 1. The government of the Republic of Uganda through the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAJIF) has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project (UCSATP). The project intends to apply part of the products towards a matching grant that will allow finance (1) production of pasture and pasture seed (2) production of fish fingerlines and (3) production of fish feed by private sector actors. | Submission | (a) Interested and eligible commercial pasture producers should register with the Departments of production in their respective District Local Governments not later than Wednesday 27th August, 2025. | |
| 2. MAJIF through UCSATP intends to support establishment of 100 acres of pasture for feed and seed in each of the project districts. Interested individuals and organizations will be supported to establish at least 5 acres of pasture gardens. The Ministry therefore requires interested eligible individuals, companies, Farmer organizations (Rural Producer organizations and Area Commodity Cooperative Enterprises). Religious institutions and Academic institutions from project districts to express interest in establishing continual pasture gardens. | (b) For Fish feed mills and Hatchery operators should face the business plan template provided on the Ministry website to submit not later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday 27th August 2025 and should be addressed to: The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries | ||

MAJIF through the UCSATP will also support four (4) regional private fish feed millers on ten (10) fish hatchery operators to upscale production in order to meet the demand from farmers and farmer groups. | Attn: National Project Coordinator, UgandaClimate-SmartAgriculturalTransformation Program Board. | ||

Existing and eligible applicants interested in upscaling production from their fish feed mills and hatcheries may obtain further information from Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries. | Note that electronic submission will not be permitted. | 5. Eligible applicants from the 88 project districts interested in commercial pasture establishment should contact their respective District Local Governments on procedure for participation. | 6.
