Role Overview
The Loans Manager will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of loans. This role is critical in advising borrowers on their financial status and payment methods, ensuring a supportive environment for our musicians.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Location: Mutundwe
- Reporting Structure: Reports to CEO
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing loan applicants and presenting them to the loans committee
- Following up the Disbursed loans
- Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process
- Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Approve loans within specified limits, and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.
- Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
- Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.
- Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Post-secondary Diploma in any Business field or related fields.
- Required Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role.
- Required Skills: Active Listening; Judgment and Decision Making; Critical Thinking; Time Management.
- Required Knowledge Areas: Customer and Personal Service; Economics and Accounting; Mathematics; Administration and Management.
- Language Requirements: English; Luganda; Swahili.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have additional skills and knowledge in customer service and financial management, along with the ability to learn and adapt in a competitive environment.
