Position: Maintenance Engineer

QUANTUM FOODS UGANDA

Quantum Foods is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance operations of our facilities, repair, and operational efficiency of equipment while managing teams, budgets, and compliance with safety standards.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.

Additional qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a poultry or feed manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to maintenance operations
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• 5-8 years of progressive Maintenance experience

Key Responsibilities.

• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure efficient operation of equipment and tacilities
• Inspect equipment and facilities regularly to identity issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
• Oversee repairs and troubleshooting of plant and equipment mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance services and repairs as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Implement and maintain maintenance management systems to track work orders, equipment history, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure safety, compliance with occupation health and safety standards.
• Motor Vehicle mechanics /engineering is of great added advantage.
