Academic Qualifications:

Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution

Professional Qualifications:

Registration and valid practicing license from the Uganda Allied Health Professionals Council

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid is an added advantage

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a clinical setting

Experience in primary healthcare, outpatient care, and community health programs

Special Skills Needed:

Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Good organizational and record-keeping skills

Knowledge of health management information systems (HMIS)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct patient consultations, assessments, and examinations

Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries

Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with approved protocols

Provide health education and counseling to patients and communities

Assist in health promotion and disease prevention activities

Maintain accurate and timely patient records

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care

Participate in community outreach and health programs

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Assist in inventory management of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals
