Job Description:
The ideal candidate should be highly skilled and motivated, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the technical infrastructure that supports our mobile money services. This role requires a strong background in systems engineering, software development, and a deep understanding of mobile money platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable and secure mobile money systems that meet business requirements.
• Create system architecture diagrams and documentation to communicate design decisions.
• Implement mobile money solutions and integrate them with existing platforms and thirdparty services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mobile money systems with other business applications.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of mobile money services.
• Optimize system performance through tuning, scaling, and resource management.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams and stakeholders as needed.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to mobile money and fintech.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance system capabilities.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a systems engineer or software engineer, preferably in the mobile money or fintech sector.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with database management systems (SQL and NoSQL) and API development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of mobile money platforms and payment processing systems.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
• Understanding of regulatory compliance related to financial services and data protection.
