JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
To provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to patients, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, implement care plans, and promote recovery and health education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by doctors.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and condition, reporting any changes promptly.
- Provide health education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols at all times.
- Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students (for senior nurses).
- Ensure all medical equipment in the ward/unit is functional and clean.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Must hold a valid Practicing License from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC).
- At least 2-3 years of post-registration clinical experience.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 24
Level of Education: associate degree
