The Nurse is responsible for delivering compassionate patient care, assisting with imaging procedures, administering medications, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their visit to the imaging center.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining processes, obtaining consent, and positioning patients as required.
• Assist radiologists and imaging technologists during procedures, including contrast administration and monitoring of patients.
• Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after procedures, identifying and responding to any adverse reactions.
• Administer medications and intravenous (IV) lines as prescribed and in accordance with scope of practice.

Clinical Support:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in accordance with infection control standards.
• Triage patients and manage patient flow to minimize waiting times.
• Provide health education and post-procedure instructions to patients and their families.

Documentation:

• Accurately document all nursing interventions, observations, and patient responses in medical records.
• Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens where applicable.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) with a valid practicing license.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient or diagnostic setting.
• Experience with IV cannulation and contrast media administration is an advantage.
