Background

The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) is established under the PPDA Act Cap 205 to develop standards and regulate procurement and disposal practices in respect of all Procuring and Disposing Entities which include Central Government Ministries and Departments, Local Governments, State Enterprises, Constitutional and Statutory Bodies and post primary training institutions.

The PPDA is seeking to a recruit qualified, competent and highly motivated PPDA staff to fill the following post:

Job summary

To project a positive brand impression of the Authority through exceptional customer service delivery at the Front Desk, online or on the Telephone and to act a first point of contact to the Public in the Regional Offices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Address queries from and attend to walk in Clients
  • Greet and direct visitors, answering phone inquiries and handling complaints in a courteous, professional manner
  • Ensure office supplies are maintained, including checking inventory and working with vendors to ensure adequate levels of necessary supplies at all times
  • Provide courier services where possible for the Regional Office
  • Support the Senior Performance Monitoring Officers in the preparation of Reports
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of files and filing systems
  • Coordinate schedules, arrange meetings, distribute memos and reports and ensure that everyone is kept current of necessary company news and information within the Region
  • Undertake any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • A Bachelors’ Degree with honours in Human Resource Management, Social sciences, development studies, Social Work and Social Administration (SWASA), Business Admin, Organizational psychology, or any other related courses.

Job Related experience & Knowledge

  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a reputable Organization.
