We’re hiring: Portfolio Manager.

Responsibilities or duties

We’re looking for a Portfolio Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for client and firm portfolios across fixed income, equities, money market, and alternatives, within our Investment Policy Statements and under the direction of the CIO.

You’ll conduct investment research and security selection, manage portfolio risk, execute Investment Committee decisions, and contribute market commentary for clients and the board.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

What we’re looking for:

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Statistics or a related field.
• Progress toward CFA (or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of Ugandan/East African capital markets and the regulatory environment (CMA, BOU, URBRA) is a plus.
• Based in Kampala, Uganda.

Experience needed

• 3+ years in portfolio management, investment analysis, or a related role in asset management, banking, insurance, pension, or capital markets.

• Take day-to-day responsibility for client and firm portfolios across fixed income, equities, money market, and alternatives, within our Investment Policy Statements and under the direction of the CIO.
