Job Purpose
To manage patient records and information systems by ensuring accurate documentation, safe storage, retrieval, and confidentiality of health records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Health Records and Information Management or a related field.
- Knowledge of medical records systems is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Confidentiality and professionalism.
- Good communication skills.
- Register and update patient records accurately.
- File, organize, and retrieve medical records.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
- Enter and update records in electronic or manual systems.
- Track movement of patient files.
- Assist healthcare teams with timely access to records.
- Prepare reports and statistics from health records.
- Ensure compliance with records management policies.
- Maintain proper documentation standards.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Confidentiality and professionalism.
- Good communication skills.
