World Alliance for Lung and Intensive Care Medicine in Uganda (WALUMU) is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) led by physicians from Uganda and the United States that works to improve clinical care for severely ill patients in hospitals across Uganda. WALUMU was established and registered in United States as a SUFO’s non-profit organization in 2010 and incorporated in Uganda as an NGO in August 2013, with offices in Kampala. WALUMU’s programming model is built around behavior change interventions that target the essential conditions for improving the quality of health care provided. WALUMU’s Project portfolio includes both health research and non-research grants.
WALUMU seeks to Request for Proposals for external Audit Services. The Terms of Reference are as below:
Terms of Reference for External Statutory Audit Services
To conduct annual statutory Audit of all WALUMU accounts based on the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on Auditing.
To conduct a general assessment of all operations and procedures to ensure that WALUMU is following the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Express an opinion on the financial statements of WALUMU based on the audit.
Prepare audited financial reports.
The successful firm will be eligible for reappointment annually by the WALUMU General Assembly.
The Eligible Audit firm should meet the following criteria:
Compliance with legal requirements of registration including Valid Registration with ICPAD and License of Operation.
Wide experience with audit reporting under International Financial Reporting standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA) for national, regional and international Non-Profit Organizations.
References for similar audits performed within the last three years in similar organizations.
Provide Audit Methodology, Proposed Work-plan, Curriculum Vitae for the partner, Manager and key staff proposed for the audit team.

All holders intending to submit Proposals for External Audit services may do so at the address provided below at no cost.
Ensure that you register your documents on submission.
All holders must submit three (I3) sets of hard copy documents, SEALED.
Envelopes MUST be clearly labelled “Proposal for External Audit Services.”
WALUMU Reserves the Right to accept or reject any bid proposal.
