9.2 Position: Sub-Programme Officer (1)- Physical Planning & Urban development

Responsibilities or duties

Support the Physical Planning and Urban Development Sub-Programme in planning and Budgeting

Support the Management of the Integrated National Development Plan Monitoring and Evaluation Management Information System

Develop and publish the Physical Planning and Urban Development (PPUD) Sub-Programme Performance Reports (quarterly, semi-annual and annual);

Facilitate PPUD Sub-Programme Reviews

Facilitate Housing Technical Working Group meetings for the PPUD sub-Programme

Support the identification, costing/budgeting and implementation of PPUD sub-Programme priorities

Support the development, approval, implementation, reporting, monitoring and evaluation of PPUD SubProgramme Projects

Support the execution of PPUD Sub-Programme Research, Studies and Policy Dialogues

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

A Ugandan with an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Statistics from a recognized University/Institution or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.

Master’s degree in either Statistics; Monitoring and Evaluation; Project Planning and Management; Public Finance Management; Economics; Public Policy and Administration; or Development Studies

Experience needed

At least five (5) years working experience in Planning, Budgeting and Performance reporting in public sector programmes or projects related to Physical Planning and Urban Development sub-Programme initiatives in Government or a reputable Organization
