Kampala Parents School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and safety-focused Swimming Coach / Lifeguard to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting water safety, developing students' swimming abilities, and creating a positive and supportive aquatic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct swimming lessons and coaching sessions for students of different skill levels.
- Teach proper swimming techniques, water confidence, and aquatic skills.
- Ensure the safety of students during swimming activities.
- Monitor pool areas and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Apply rescue techniques and provide first aid when necessary.
- Promote good swimming habits, discipline, and respect for water safety rules.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized swimming environment.
- Support school aquatic programs and activities.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Valid and up-to-date Lifeguard Certification.
- Swimming coaching qualification (Level 1 or higher preferred).
- Previous experience working with children and young people.
- Strong knowledge of water safety, rescue techniques, and first aid procedures.
- Passion for teaching and developing young swimmers.
- Reliable, energetic, responsible, and a strong team player.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
