JOB DETAILS:
Main Responsibilities:
• The Technical Officer HIV Prevention and Knowledge Management position provides responsive, high-quality technical leadership, manages technical assistance, and ensures the quality of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment interventions conducted by civil society organizations and community-based implementing partners. The Technical Officer provides assistance to champion organization-wide knowledge sharing, so that know-how, information and experience generated by the Activity is shared (as appropriate) to CSOs, partners, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
• BS/BA or MS/MA in public health or related field.
• A minimum of five relevant experience with international development programs and field experience in the field of HIV/AIDS.
• Extensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention care and treatment in Uganda. Experience in designing and implementing of public health/international development programs funded by US government and other international donors. Working knowledge of major donor policies (USAID/PEPFAR, Global Fund).
• Demonstrated management, supervision, networking and leadership skills working with large, complex programs.
• Experience in public relations/knowledge management and/or news media including preparing briefs, press releases, synthesis reports etc. for external audiences.
• Ability and willingness to undertake frequent in-country travel - minimum of 50%.
