JOB DETAILS:

Role Context

This position is within the service of Nakaseke District Local Government. The Assistant Nursing Officer supports the delivery of nursing care and health services in accordance with professional standards and applicable health service guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to patients in assigned health service settings.
• Assess patients, monitor their condition, document care, and report significant changes to the appropriate health professional.
• Administer treatments and medication within the scope of professional practice and follow infection prevention and patient safety procedures.
• Educate patients and families on health, treatment, and prevention practices, and work collaboratively with other health workers.

Qualifications and Requirements

Suitable and qualified candidates are invited to apply. Applicants should have appropriate nursing training and meet the applicable professional requirements for nursing practice. Good communication, patient-care, record-keeping, and teamwork skills are relevant to the role.
