Background
NADO-U is an independent body established under the National Sports Act, 2023 (as amended), mandated to promote clean sport, protect athletes and uphold the integrity of sport in Uganda. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans for the following positions:
Job Purpose
To conduct and oversee doping control sample collection in accordance with NADO-U and WADA standards, while safeguarding athlete rights, sample integrity, confidentiality and chain of custody.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct sample collection missions according to NADO-U and WADA standards and guidelines.
- Ensure the athlete's rights are protected during the testing process.
- Managing chain of custody for all collected samples to guarantee their integrity and validity and submitting accurate Doping Control Forms and related documentation.
- Ensure testing kits, materials, and equipment are properly handled and stored.
- Educate athletes and support staff about testing protocols and compliance.
- Report any irregularities, refusals, or violations during sample collection.
Minimum Qualification
- Honours Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration & Management, Education/Teaching, Health Sciences, Public Health, Sports Science or Medical Sciences from a recognised institution.
- Experience in anti-doping activities or as an athlete is an added advantage.
- MUST be Trained and certified by regional anti-doping organisation (RADO) zone five (5).
