About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated professional to analyze, develop, maintain, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across our entire production chain – from research and hybrid development to parent seed multiplication, farming, out-growers, workshop operations, processing, and quality assurance. Your work will drive efficiency, quality, and full compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and update SOPs in line with Uganda seed laws, ISTA, HACCP, ISO, and health & safety requirements
  • Collaborate with section managers and Quality Assurance to embed best practices
  • Monitor compliance through audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver training sessions and build team capacity for consistent SOP adherence
  • Maintain accurate documentation and report on compliance status and improvements
  • Contribute to continuous process enhancement for greater efficiency and quality
  • As a case study manage one business unit for a to be agreed time.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomic Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, or related field is a MUST. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture related course.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in production management or SOP coordination in seed/agro-industry (hybrid maize experience advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of seed industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent skills in documentation, auditing, training, and communication
  • Proficient in MS Office; collaborative, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and leadership abilities
