Dalilang Foods & Beverages is a Ugandan FMCG manufacturer producing packaged snacks, including potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and peanut butter, alongside spring water, fruit nectars and energy drinks.
Job Description
Serve as the primary frontline contact for retail and wholesale customers at the Kampala sales outlet, delivering responsive and professional customer service. Drive outlet sales execution by attending to walk in wholesale buyers, processing invoices accurately, and organizing local order fulfillment. Uphold company trade integrity by enforcing approved pricing, credit, returns, and cash handling procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Attend to walk in wholesale buyers and address incoming customer telephone inquiries with professional etiquette.
- Process outlet sales invoices, receipts, and order entries accurately using point of sale (POS) systems.
- Coordinate local customer order assembly and dispatch with warehouse and logistics personnel to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Enforce company commercial controls regarding approved pricing, discounts, credit terms, promotional items, and return rules.
- Handle cash collections, customer payment information, and commercial records with strict accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain complete, legible, and traceable records of invoices, transaction logs, stock dispatches, and daily sales performance.
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and finance teams to align customer order commitments with actual inventory availability.
- Escalate unusual payment patterns, commercial discrepancies, product diversion risks, safety hazards, and customer grievances through approved channels.

- Point of sale (POS) invoicing and commercial data entry
- Professional telephone etiquette and customer problem resolution
- Product knowledge and understanding of retail and wholesale sales terms
- Basic commercial numeracy, cash handling, and record keeping accuracy
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
Education Qualifications & Experience
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Studies, Sales & Marketing, Secretarial Studies, Business Administration (BBA), Commerce, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Procurement, Economics, Statistics, Mass Communication, Public Relations, International Business, Retail Management, Customer Service, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Computing, or related disciplines.
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) acceptable for trainee applicants demonstrating strong numeracy, communication skills, and commercial interest.
- Relevant professional certifications or short courses in customer service, CRM, digital marketing, key account management, or sales management are an added advantage.
Experience
- No prior work experience required.
- Includes 2 weeks of product and POS training upon commencement.
