Overall purpose of the job.

To supervise the cane yard activities and achieve the targeted cane crushing capacity during the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance at the Under carrier and Under feeder tables continuously.
• Check and confirm sugarcane is offloaded at the right places and that truck drivers comply with the arrangement.
• Check and confirm the attendance and punctuality of the subordinate staff.
• Maintain subordinate staff discipline and attend to their complaints promptly.
• Ensure feeder tables, under carriers and mills to be kept clean.
• Ensure all cane handling equipment’s are operational properly and assist during the cleaning of cane feeders.
• Adhering to and enforcing the Safety, Health and Environment Policy of the company.
• Performing any other related duties as may be assigned to you by the Superintendent- Shift/ Management from time to time. Please note that you may be required to work anywhere within the company.

Knowledge, qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelors in Mechanical engineering. A Certificate in basic Supervisory Management is an added advantage.

Experience, Skills and Competences:

A minimum of one to two (02) years’ experience in related field. Experience in handling of shift workers is an added advantage. Good supervisory skills, good communication and interpersonal skills
