JOB DETAILS:
Finance Trust Bank was licensed as a Tier 1 Commercial Bank on 11th November, 2013, taking over the financial services business of Uganda Finance Trust Limited (MDI). Today Finance Trust Bank is a fully fledged commercial bank serving a clientele of over 400,000 depositors and over 28,000 borrowers, through a network of 35 branches country wide. The bank offers a variety of products and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.
In order to meet the needs of its growing customer base, the company is seeking to recruit dynamic, self-motivated, result oriented professionals to fill the following position;
Trade Finance Manager
This position reports directly to the Head of Credit.
Role of the Job:
To grow the off-balance sheet portfolio in line with the corporate objectives of the Bank, through excellent customer service delivery and efficient and accurate processing of trade finance transactions and facilitate product knowledge dissemination across the bank network while ensuring full compliance to the requirements of all stakeholders. .

Key Result Areas:
• Ensure accurate LC transfer transactions movements to specified accounts and banks.
• Ensure that the trade finance transactions are processed in line with regulatory requirements. Review of department's daily, Weekly, and monthly volume statistics for trade finance.
• Ensure review of Daily, weekly and monthly processed transactions in line with policies and procedures.
• Recommend strategies that facilitate excellent customer service delivery of the bank's International banking services and trade finance business.
• Ensure adequate allocation of personnel and material resources to the Department for effective processing.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines in transaction processing while providing customers with efficient service delivery.
• Ensure proper maintenance of documents and records.
• Facilitate knowledge dissemination of Trade Finance products across the bank.
• Approve/authorize transactions within position limits.
• Implement bank strategies in line with targets defined in the business Department plan.
• Monitor compliance with performance indicators! service standards to ensure alignment with business/customer requirements.
• Ensure departmental staff are adequately trained by organizing and facilitating in in-house training sessions.

Minimum Educational and Technical Competence Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree from a recognized University
• Relevant Master's Degree and professional qualification in banking or accounting will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Trade finance products and dynamics. Minimum experience of Six years' experience in banking operations and management.
• Banking Industry practices, control policies and current developments.
• Knowledge of the FIA Act requirements.
• Strategy formulation and policy development skills.
• Good knowledge of International operations.
• Computer proficiency.
