Background

Wagagai Mining (U) Ltd ("WGG") is Uganda's first fully automated large-scale gold mining enterprise, located in Busia. The Company operates a 5,000-tonne-per-day concentrator, a 350-tonne-per-day cyanidation plant, a fully automated underground mine, and a gold smelting and refining workshop. To meet production development needs, WGG now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following key technical positions:

Job Summary

Responsible for developing and delivering training courses in UAV aerial survey and geophysical data acquisition to build local Ugandan technical capacity.

Key Duties

• Prepare UAV operation, aerial survey and data processing training syllabi and materials;
• conduct classroom teaching and field practical guidance;
• assess trainee competence;
• develop standard operating procedures;
• mentor local operators.

Requirements

• Diploma or above;
• hold a CAAC BVLCS pilot licence;
• 3+ years of mining aerial survey experience;
• proficient in Pix4D, DOMDEM products and geological interpretation;
• strong curriculum development and teaching ability.
