Background
Pinnacle Security Ltd (PSL) is 100% Ugandan owned company that is involved in the provision of bespoke security, risk management, firefighting and emergency response solutions in the East African region.

Pinnacle Security Ltd has been contracted by TotalEnergies E&P Uganda to provide Emergency and Fire-Fighting Services for the Tilenga Development Project operated by Total Energies E&P Uganda. The project is located in Buliisa and Nwoya districts.

PSL therefore hereby invites suitable Ugandans to fill the following positions on the Emergency Response and Fire Fighting Services on the Tilenga Project.

Firefighter (12 vacancies)

Qualifications and Experience
• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)
• Minimum 3 years' working experience in this field
• Must be physically fit i.e. present a medical fitness certificate
• Practitioner certificate
• Knowledge of fire truck and its operation is an added advantage
• Knowledge of fire investigation or chemistry/science and combustion is an added advantage
• Short courses in occupational health, safety or any related field is an added advantage

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Protect people, animals and property during emergencies
• Fight fires
• Rescue people and animals involved in fire outbreaks
• Mitigate chemical spills
• Prevent fire damage by conducting surveys and inspections for hazards and also enforcing codes
• Develop and conduct educational training programs
• Be on standby to respond to emergency calls 24/7
• Provide emergency medical care to patients including ambulance transportation
• Ventilate buildings to release heat, smoke and gases, place salvage covers, and action to prevent water damage
• As assigned, drive and operate firefighting apparatus
• Daily maintenance tasks on apparatus, equipment and facilities
• Daily fitness training
• Inspection and maintenance of client extinguishers
• Mentoring others in emergency medical care, and firefighting
• Any other duty as may be assigned within your scope of work
• Selection process involves firefighter fitness and practical test (bleep test, upper and lower body resistance, swimming, ladder climb, SCBA and confined space)
• Any other duty as assigned within your scope of work
