JOB DETAILS:
Job Description
Overall purpose of the job.
• Handling of faults diagnosis of electrical systems in company vehicles and regular servicing of all company vehicles /equipment to keep them in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
• Handling all fault diagnosis of electronic systems in the company vehicles and tractors
• Servicing and repairing motor alternators, dynamos, voltage regulators, batteries plus lighting systems
• Attending to all motor vehicle/equipment breakdowns outside the garage as advised by the supervisor
• Testing repaired electrical parts before fixing them back on the machine
• Attending/servicing air condition of the vehicles
• Carrying out preventive and monthly maintenance of all company vehicles/equipment as indicated in motor vehicle manuals
• Rewinding of motor systems, incorporating safety and interlocking circuits
• Charging all batteries for tractors and vehicles, putting them back in the respective vehicles and keeping records
• Ensuring the general cleaning of the working environment and maintaining good housekeeping
• Adhering to and enforcing the company safety, Health and environment policy
• Performing any other duties that may be assigned to you by workshop supervisor/Management from time to time.
• Ensuring that consumption reports for spare parts of all Kayunga machines are submitted on monthly basis
• Coordinating with SHE office to ensure safety of all employees in the Workshop is catered for
• Coordinating with training section to organize relevant training programs for Workshop staff

Knowledge, qualifications & Experience
• Advanced Certificate in Auto Electrical from a recognised technical institute or a Diploma in Auto electrical from a recognised institution. /Craft 1 Certificate with over 3 years’ experience in the busy Auto Workshop
