Position: Accountant

Essential Qualities

A degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or commerce.

Knowledge of accounting programmes especially Sage x3 is an added advantage.

Minimum level 3 CPA OR ACCA

Outstanding attention to detail

The capacity to operate both independently and cooperatively in a financial team

Computer literates in Microsoft 365 applications

Key Responsibilities.

Reconciliation of the bank statements, Airtel, and MtN against the internal records on a weekly basis

Management of asset registers and depreciation runs together with capitalization of assets on monthly basis.

Track CAPEX spent vs Budgets for reporting to management

Maintenance and storage of financial documents in compliance with auditing policies and procedures

Assisting with year-end and month-end closing procedures

Laise with Internal and external Auditors plus URA and Insurance.

Preparing reporting packs and month-end journal postings for the finance department.

Take ownership of Accruals and Prepaid Expense accounts

Provide support and backup to the Finance Manager

Provide ad hoc support to the Group Finance Manager in South Africa

Provide support to junior staff members within the finance team
