JA Uganda Alumni Network is inviting applications from passionate and committed alumni to serve in leadership positions that will contribute to the growth of the alumni community, strengthen engagement, and amplify the impact of Junior Achievement Uganda.
These roles provide an opportunity for alumni leaders to drive strategic initiatives, support fellow alumni, and contribute to the continued success of the network.
Alumni President
Role Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and direction for the JA Uganda Alumni Network, represent the alumni community, and ensure effective implementation of initiatives that advance the network’s vision, mission, and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the alumni network.
- Represent the alumni body in engagements with JA Uganda, partners, and stakeholders.
- Chair alumni leadership meetings and oversee implementation of agreed initiatives.
- Develop and promote programmes that strengthen alumni participation and impact.
- Build partnerships and collaborations that support alumni growth.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other alumni leaders.
- Ensure accountability, transparency, and effective governance of the network.
- Monitor progress towards achieving alumni goals and objectives.
Key Competencies
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and public representation skills.
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities.
- Ability to inspire and mobilize teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Commitment to JA Uganda’s values and mission.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be between 25 and 35 years old.
- Must be a JA Uganda alumnus/alumna in good standing.
- Demonstrate commitment to JA Uganda’s vision, mission, and core values.
- Possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Be willing and able to commit to a three (3)-year term of service.
- Lead and influence a growing alumni network.
- Strengthen connections and community impact.
- Build leadership and professional experience.
