In accordance with Section 29 of the Electricity Act, Cap. #57, the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) has received a Notice of Interested Application for an Independent Transmission Licence from Tropical Transmission Company Limited. The company seeks a permit to undertake feasibility studies and other activities leading to the development of the 220kV Bulgeall Loosa Transmission Line, and the 33/132kV clustering solution proposed to be established in Eastern Uganda.

The proposed project will traverse through the District of Bulambuli, Kween, Jinja, Mbaile and Tororo within the vicinity of the following coordinates in WGS #84-UIM Zone 36N:

Puruant to Section 30 of the Electricity Act, the Authority invites directly affected parties, public agencies, authorities, and individuals in the project-affected areas to submit written objections or comments regarding the project.
