Assistant Fashion Designer
Job Summary:
The Assistant Fashion Designer will support the design team in developing garments and collections, from initial concepts through to finished pieces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing design concepts, sketches, and mood boards.
- Conduct research on fashion trends, fabrics, colours, and styles.
- Assist with fabric and material selection.
- Support pattern development, fittings, alterations, and garment production.
- Prepare samples and assist in developing new designs.
- Work closely with tailors, beaders, and other production staff.
- Help ensure finished pieces accurately reflect the designer's vision.
- Maintain organized design files, samples, and materials.
Requirements:
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Strong creativity and interest in fashion.
- Basic knowledge of garment construction and design processes.
- Good drawing, styling, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced creative environment.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
