PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Assist the Senior Staff in teaching and examining undergraduate students, conducting practicals and in research activities.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
1. Should have a Master of Science Degree in Physiology, Internal Medicine, paediatrics or general surgery.
2. Honours MBChB or MBBS or BDS or Honours BNS or BBLT as first degree.
3. Demonstrate competence in computer and communication skills.
4. Registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners’ Council or the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council or the Uganda Allied Health Professional Council with a valid practicing license.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assists in preparing lectures, practicals and conducting them to undergraduate students.
2. Assists in setting tests, examinations and coursework according to University Standards.
3. Assists in marking tests and examinations scripts and compile results according to grading standards of the University.
4. Assists in administering and invigilate tests, examinations and coursework according to University standards.
5. Assists in supervising students undertaking research in line with the University’s guidelines and regulations.

KEY OUTPUTS
1. Lectures prepared and delivered to undergraduate students.
2. Tests, examinations and coursework set, marked and results compiled.
3. Tests, examinations and coursework administered.
