JOB DETAILS:

Responsibilities
1. Recruiting intercity bus and shuttle companies and transport providers
2. Recruiting intercity parcel companies
3. Recruiting SMEs that will use parcel systems provided bus, shuttle and parcel companies on BuuPass platform
4. Generate new leads, prospects and partnerships with transport operators in line with predetermined targets
5. Create a documented sales funnel, build a sales pipeline and track leads for conversion efficiently
6. Provide market intelligence of the competitive offerings in the bus industry, pricing, payment methods, etc
7. Present strategies for expansion and analyse/study the company’s competitors
8. Manage end-to-end client relationships, including pitching, negotiation, contracting, billing / invoicing, payment collection, customer support, result tracking and troubleshooting on an ongoing and consistent basis
9. Work closely with the team to achieve Marketing and brand building needs as well as to plan and execute activations and other prospecting initiatives
10. Develop and manage sales budget
11. BuuPass products sales execution
12. Be passionate about sales & exceed individual bus operator targets, month on month
13. Understand bus operator landscape in country – numbers, concentration, needs and should advise our team about customer acquisition
14. Regular reporting

Desired Skills
1. 2 –5 years of work experience in B2B Sales and/or IT software development domain
2. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree/certificate in Sales, Marketing, IT, Computer Science preferred
3. Direct experience in the Travel or Bus Industry will be an added advantage
4. Networks within transport are valuable
5. Familiarity with the geography of Uganda
6. Familiarity with a CRM tool
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is mandatory
8. Excellent oral Swahili communication skills, and other local languages are welcome
9. Excellent proposal writing skills
10. Intelligent, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals
11. Should be comfortable working within multicultural teams
12. Record of very high ethical standards
13. Team oriented
14. Comfortable with ambiguity and unpredictable work hours
15. Excellent communication with non-technical people
