The Biomedical Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment and devices.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance on all biomedical equipment, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring devices.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults in medical equipment, replacing defective parts and ensuring proper functioning.
  • Calibration: Calibrate medical equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new biomedical equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all medical equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment, and coordinate with procurement for replacements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities.
  • Training: Train clinical staff on the proper use, handling, and care of medical equipment.
  • Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and external service providers for specialized repairs.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of care.
