Applications are invited from suitable and qualified candidates to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in the service of Nakaseke district local government.

Role Overview

The Biostatistician applies statistical methods to health and biological data to support research, monitoring, evaluation, and evidence-informed decision-making. The role involves helping teams develop sound data collection approaches, analyze and interpret findings, and present results clearly to support public health services and programs.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Plan and conduct statistical analyses of health-related data, and communicate findings through reports and presentations.
• Support the design of studies, surveys, and data collection tools, and help maintain data quality.
• Candidates should have relevant training in biostatistics or a related field, with skills in statistical analysis, data management, and clear communication.

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree

Job application procedure

Submit applications in triplicate on PSC Form No.3 (2008 revised) and, for education positions, ESC Form No.3 (1998 Revised), to the Secretary, Nakaseke District Service Commission, P.O. Box 451, Luwero-Uganda, not later than 2nd December 2026.

Applications should be accompanied by three recent passport-size photographs, photocopies of certified academic certificates, a copy of your CV, and other relevant supporting documents. Application forms are obtainable from Nakaseke District Service Commission Offices, Farmers' House-Kampala, or any District/City Service Commission. Applications should bear the title of the post and the reference number specified against the post. Serving officers must route their applications through their Heads of Department, who should be informed of the closing date.
