JOB DETAILS:
I&M Bank Uganda is a commercial bank headquartered at Kampala Road plot 6/6A with a growing regional presence. The Bank offers a wide range of commercial banking and financial products and services, and prides itself on introducing innovative products and services based on the needs of its customers. We are seeking to recruit a competent and highly motivated individual with extensive experience and abilities to support business growth in the following position:
JOB TITLE: Branch Manager
LOCATION: Kampala
REPORTS TO: Head Customer Network
Job Purpose
• Develop and implement business strategies to deliver performance and growth targets of the branch.
Key Responsibilities
• Champion the marketing and business development function in the Branch towards achieveing branch targets.
• Oversee the preparation of the branch’s annual budget and monitor its implementation to minimize overruns/variances.
• Streamline business processes of the branch to create efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to the risk management framework in identifying, controlling, and monitoring and report risk.
• Ensure sufficient actions are undertaken by the branch to comply with all key regulatory compliance and policies.
• Conduct monthly review of performance levels against approved budgets.
• Ensure directives from the management are well disseminated within the Branch.
• Ensure the management of cash shorts and overs within till budget or none at all as per bank policy.
• Maintain relationship with key stakeholders through physical visits with team leaders and officers to monitor service quality.
• Regularly appraise the activities and functions of the Branch and make recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure customer service culture amongst staff and fully embedding customer centric propositions
• Drive improvement in ATM uptime to achieve an average of 95%.
• Proper delivery on performance management processes ensuring active participation and timeous submission of results aimed at a favorable distribution curve and people rewarded in time.
Requirement
Minimum Education Qualification:
• A Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting Finance or a related field from a recognized university.
• A post graduate degree or a professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Work Experience:
• At least 5 years’ experience in Banking with 2 in Branch Operations & leadership.
