Purpose of the role

The Branch Manager reports to the Operations Assistant. You run the branch. You own the team, the targets and maintain and raise the client service making our clients’ life easy every day. You build a branch that performs consistently, treats clients with dignity, and solves problems quickly and simply. You are visible, hands-on, and close to the work.

Responsibilities

  • Own branch performance by knowing your targets, and drive your team to hit them consistently
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountability for your team by setting clear standards, coach daily, and build people who are ready make our clients life easy
  • Support the team to deliver fast, clear and simple service
  • Approve loans in line with credit guidelines, accurately, efficiently, and with a clear understanding of what the client is signing up for
  • Own collections at branch level by up to date with overdue accounts, follow up with urgency, and work with clients to find solutions
  • Onboard and induct new team members, make sure they are ready before they face a client and supported while they find their feet
  • Run a clean and disciplined operation, maintain high standards in cash handling, compliance, credit processes, and branch administration.
  • Resolve escalated client complaints with speed and dignity, own the outcome and see problems through to resolution
  • Report on branch performance with honesty and clarity, flag problems early
  • Identify what is not working and fix it, bring solutions and take action quickly
  • Build a branch people want to be part of, keep energy high, raise standards, and support a team that enjoys winning together
  • Make Unifi a place where people work hard, grow fast, and enjoy being part of the team

Requirements

  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related commercial field is advantageous.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Proven track record of hitting targets consistently.
  • Good understanding of credit, lending processes, and basic financial concepts.
  • Strong communicator, clear, direct, respectful, and calm when things get busy.
  • Organised and disciplined, you follow the process properly, keep things accurate, and hold your team to the same standard.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, or rotational standbys where required.
  • Hungry to grow, you question what is not working, take ownership, and bring strong energy and standards to your team every day
