Background

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a Manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client SINOPEC, we are looking for competent, skilled and experienced Calibration Coordinator to work in Uganda.

JOB SUMMARY

The calibration coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the calibration of all measurement and test equipment’s used by the Sinopec construction and inspection teams during the construction period on Tilenga project.

Responsibilities

Calibration management:

• Develop and maintain a calibration schedule for all measurement and test equipment.
• Notify the equipment owners, relevant departments, and management every Friday of the status of equipment’s to expire within one (1) month.
• Interface externally with the qualified calibration laboratories and internally with the equipment owners, logistics, and warehouse to conduct the planned calibration and distribution.
• Ensure all equipment’s are calibrated following project standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of calibration results, certificates, and due dates.
• Support the calibration contract negotiation and signing, Responsible for calibration inquiry with external calibration laboratories if needed, and responsible for calibration work confirmation and payment application.

Equipment Handling:

• Maintain an inventory of calibration equipment.
• Coordinate the repair replacement and recalibration of faulty or outdated equipment.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all calibration activities comply with ISO 17025 or other relevant standards.
• Conduct regular checks on calibration records.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Generate and share calibration reports and issues with different departments.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure all calibration activities and records comply with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in calibration, quality assurance, or a related field.

Required Skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Efficient interpersonal communication and coordination capabilities.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting
• Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Data organization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
