Job Summary:
LWF-Uganda, a country program of the larger Lutheran World Federation (LWF), a well-respected international humanitarian organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. The LWF-Uganda program has been operational in Uganda, working in humanitarian response and development. The national headquarters is based in Kampala, with 8 sub-programs located throughout the country, in the districts of Obongi, Adjumani, Lamwo, Kamwenge, Kitgum, Pader, Kikuube and Luuka.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Task and deliverables
• Provide the interpretation from:
• English to French, French to English
• English to Spanish, Spanish to English
• French to Spanish, Spanish to French
• Provide simultaneous interpretation for persons on and offline
• Preparation of interpretation with the provided materials
• Accept instructions from conference organizer
• Target groups
• LWF Finance teams from various countries

Required skills and experience
• Fluency in the working languages (English, Spanish and French)
• Demonstrated experience in providing simultaneous interpretation services
• Knowledge of Financial terminology is an added advantage
• Practical experience using online interpretation platforms such as Zoom
• Higher education in linguistics, business management, accounting, economics or any other related field.
• At least 2 years of work experience in interpretation and translation
• At least three references for multi-day interpretation experience
• Fluent knowledge of written and spoken French language is obligatory
• Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English language is obligatory
• Fluent knowledge of written and spoken Spanish language is obligatory

Evaluation Criteria
• Relevant educational qualification.
• Relevant Knowledge of English, Spanish and French (both written and spoken).
• Experience of conducting interpretation work in English, Spansh and French and vice versa.
• Quality of the interpretation documents provided.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree

Qualified technical simultaneous interpreters/ interpretation teams with relevant experience in delivering similar services as mentioned in this Terms of Reference (TOR) are requested to submit the following –
Interpretation team profile and updated CVs of each team member with contact details;
At least two (2) references with whom the team and each interpreter has worked directly with for similar assignment;
Financial Proposal (with breakdown of remuneration and justification).
