Responsibilities or duties

• Process customer payments accurately via cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile money.
• Operate the POS system, entering orders and calculating bills efficiently.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and vouchers as required.
• Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, reconciling discrepancies.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding billing, menu prices, and promotions.
• Verify order accuracy before finalizing payment, coordinating with the kitchen and waitstaff.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Assist with basic customer service, directing queries to appropriate staff.
• Report any system issues, shortages, or overages to the supervisor immediately.
• Support the team during peak hours by assisting with order packaging or customer seating.
