Responsibilities 
Job Purpose: 
• The position is responsible for all classes of insurance and related assignments that include but not limited to registration of all motor and non-motor claims, checking files processed for payment, appointment of loss assessors and adjusters, collection and disposal of all salvage, attending broker meetings. 
• To render support to the entire department 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
• In liaison with the head of claims, carry our inspection and collect information relevant to the claims department. 
• Prepare necessary reports on inspected claims 
• Receive, register and process all claims for all classes as assigned 
• Verify quotations for all classes of insurance 
• Assess liability of policies including verification of premiums 
• Identify claims that don’t qualify for settlement and arrange for repudiation in consultation with the head of claims 
• Following up subrogation recoveries 
• Check all claim files for payment before they are approved by the head of claims 
• Attend to clients and broker queries in liaison with the head of claims 
• Ensure that all salvage is collected and disposed in time and ensure that salvage register is kept up to date 
• Preparing monthly claims report in liaison with the head of claims. 
• Settle claims within policy terms without exception 
• Ensure only qualified and experiences are appointed to handle various claims 
• Advise underwriters on any risk improvement measures noted in any policy 
• Keep track of claim ratios and discuss the same during monthly renewal meetings 
• Regular Meetings with Surveyor, and garages to check the feedback and discuss critical claims. 
• Rotation of Surveyor, Garages and other service providers. 
• Investigation to be used as effective tool for claim cost curtailment. 
• Empanelment of workshops in consultation with the head of claim 
 
Qualifications 
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution 
 
Details of experience 
• 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably in the insurance sector 
        
 
 Work Hours: 8 
 Experience in Months:   60 
 Level of Education:    Bachelor Degree
