Job Title: Consultant – IN Operations
Reports to: Senior Consultant – IN/VAS Operations
Division: Technology
No. of Vacancies: 1
Main Job Functions:
• Oversee the operations for several Class-A systems under IN&VAS namely: IN/Charging System, Ericsson CIS, Messaging (USSD and SMS)
• Act as point of escalation for all critical system failures on IN/VAS systems and coordinate service recovery objective timelines and manage vendor interface during all service recovery incidents
• To ensure INVAS systems operations KPI-s meet MTN business requirement – availability, reliability, customer complaint resolution
• Ensure resilience and redundancy within the IN/VAS core network architecture
• Provide efficient and strong vendor management across IN/VAS platform vendors, including efficient managed service operations model
• Setup proactive real-time outside-in monitoring tools and process for all key revenue impacting platforms
• Reviewing and optimizing business continuity strategies, service reporting, service measurement and service level management.
• Manage and liaise with service providers/vendors within the IN&VAS space.
Education:
• First degree in preferably Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
• Vendor management
• Project management § Sound understanding of ITIL standards and best practices within operational environments
Experience:
• Experience in IN VAS operations in a medium to large telco Strong vendor management and follow up skills.
• More than 5 years of UNIX shell scripting/programming and database administration.
• More than 5 years of experience in IN/VAS operations in medium or large telco
• Experience with managed service operations – handling major vendors like Ericsson. Comviva, Huawei.
• Extensive experience in application operations and service management
