JOB DETAILS:
Job Description
We are looking to hire an experienced credit controller to expertly manage the debts of our company. As a credit controller, you will be responsible for collecting debts from our company debtors, evaluating new credit requests, ensuring timely payments of company debts, processing invoices, maintaining the sales ledger, and providing administrative support.

To ensure success as a credit controller, you should have a good eye for detail and the ability to reconcile complex company accounts. Ultimately, a top-class credit controller can maximize company profits by efficiently managing its debts.

Key Result Areas:

• Creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention
• Reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated from the AR team
• Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors
• Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within your team
• Liaising with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team
• Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company’s tax database
• Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
• Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
• Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations
• Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
• Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
• Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
• Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications

• Ability to reconcile complex debtors’ accounts.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to deal with problematic clients.

Competencies:
• International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) accreditation (essential)
• Sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Professional Qualifications
• Degree in fields of Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA and CPA qualifications required.
• Good understanding of the legal complexities of loans, payment plans, and interest rates.
• At least 10 years’ experience in Credit Control & Tax Accounting.
• Proficiency in business management and accounting software, such as SAP and Quick books.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
