JOB DETAILS:
SeaOwl Energy Services is part of the SeaOwl Group, an international service provider specialised in a wide range of Recruitment, Manpower Contracting & Management, Asset Management, Training, Professional Services and Integrated Services for the Construction, Energy, Extractives, Logistics, Mining and Manufacturing sectors. On behalf of our Client in the Extractives sector, we are looking for (a) competent individual(s) to fill the following position:
POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION
Job Title: Data Manager G&G
Based in: Kampala

ACTIVITIES
Data Loading & Handling:
• Manage the inventory of the data in scope.
• Loading, QC, editing, converting, organizing, archiving in the corporate and local data store – Seislink, Netapps drive etc
• Data exchange with Corporate, Partners and Authorities.

Studies Support:
• Seismic, Geological data loading, data quality etc
• Preparation of studies datasets as per the needs.
• Well path loading between Adept and Sismage.
• Finalising all the technical documents including studies, models, well reports

Data Integrity and Quality Management:
• Ensure Data storage as per the Geoscience Data Management plan.
• Ensure Data quality checks performed in conjunction with the GSR user group.
• Ensure Data standards compliance with Total and Partner standards

Data Integration:
• Ensure data interoperability between various key software.
• Conversion of data inputs as per the system requirements.
• Map the key workflows and data required to enable the same

Data Governance & Innovation:
• Promote data culture, roles & responsibilities with the GSR users.
• Define data policies in the local context.
• Promote digital roadmap and enable the digital applications.
• Identify data driven digital and innovation opportunities.
• Contribute to Data platform transformation activities.
• Integrate new reference and visualization for Geosciences – IVAAP, PowerBI etc

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• BSc Hons Degree in Geosciences/Data Management/Technology disciplines
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Data Management
• Experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred and competence in E&P Data management preferred
• Strong ability to work in a cross functional environment, excellent communication skills.
