Key Responsibilities

Program Evaluation (80%)

  • Lead implementation of Redeem’s impact evaluation strategy for assigned casework team.
  • Liaise with local council leaders and authorities to identify widows for surveys.
  • Conduct surveys to assess property grabbing victimization among sampled widows.
  • Collect relevant participant data (demographics, marital status, land ownership, abuse, etc.).
  • Ensure all data meets Redeem’s quality standards and is submitted timely.
  • Enter collected data into appropriate databases for program improvement.
  • Refer survey participants to Redeem for potential case intake.
  • Collaborate with the team to assess and communicate referrals effectively.
  • Support data collection in other Redeem project areas as needed.

Performance Monitoring (10%)

  • Conduct focus group discussions to measure community deterrence.
  • Collect data for non-casework program indicators as required.
  • Partner with Casework Admin to analyze and monitor performance data quality.
  • Provide updates and analysis to Team Lead and Director of M&E upon request.
  • Ensure M&E system functionality and team utilization.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests as needed.

Miscellaneous (10%)

  • Communicate with donors, supporters, media, and external parties about Redeem’s work.
  • Contribute to reviewing and designing organizational systems, guidelines, and policies.
  • Participate in professional development and spiritual formation activities.
  • Support other teams in achieving their objectives.
  • Perform clerical duties (photocopying, filing, errands, etc.) as needed.
  • Complete other assigned duties.

Reporting & Location

  • Reports to Director of Monitoring & Evaluation with dotted-line reporting to Team Lead.
  • Based in Tororo, with occasional travel to Kampala and other operational districts.

Experience

  • Required: Degree in statistics, economics, development studies, or related field.
  • Required: 3+ years in M&E, research, and data management.
  • Required: Experience conducting surveys and data collection.
  • Preferred: Qualitative research experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with electronic data tools (ODK, Kobo Collect, etc.).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-based data collection systems.
  • Preferred: Experience in start-ups, international, matrixed, or faith-based organizations.

Skills

  • Required: Fluency in English, Japadhola, Ateso, Lunyole, and Kiswahili.
  • Required: Strong data management with attention to detail.
  • Required: Computer literacy (word processing, email, etc.).
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Google Business Suite and digital project management tools.
