The Institute Rector is seeking a Deputy Rector Administration and Finance.
Responsibilities or duties
Oversee the institution’s Administration and Finances.
Supervise the Director Finance, Director Students Affairs and ICT Manager.
Develop, implement and monitor institutional budgets and work plans.
Ensure compliance with institutional financial policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
The Applicant must be:
- A holder of a Master’s Degree in Business and Management from a recognized, reputable University/Institution of Higher Learning.
- A Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Health Science Field, Education, Business and Management, Humanities or Natural Sciences.
Added advantage:
- Possession of a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or ICASA).
- PhD or an equivalent academic doctorate from a recognized reputable University.
Experience needed
At least seven (7) years of proven experience in Management, Leadership, and Administration in an Academic Institution with at least three to four (3-4) years at a senior managerial level.
Proven experience in institutional planning, budgeting, resource mobilization and utilization (securing grants and attracting external funding).
Demonstrated experience in policy development, implementation, and evaluation.
Familiarity with the legal framework for higher education systems in Uganda.
