Job Purpose
Liberty Life Assurance Uganda Limited is seeking competent, reliable, and self-driven Direct Sales Agents to join its commercial team in the Jinja region. The successful candidates will be responsible for driving retail client acquisition, promoting life assurance portfolios, educating the Kakira/Jinja community on financial financial security products, and consistently meeting regional sales targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Client Acquisition & Business Development
- Proactively identify, prospect, and pitch customized life insurance policies to individuals, corporate workers, and community groups within Kakira and the greater Jinja territory.
- Conduct financial financial needs analyses for prospective customers to recommend appropriate insurance covers, savings products, and investment policies.
- Achieve or exceed set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and value targets.
2. Relationship Management & Customer Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear, comprehensive information regarding policy terms, premiums, and maturity structures.
- Guide prospective clients through the accurate completion of proposal forms and onboarding documentation.
- Maintain continuous contact with existing policyholders to facilitate premium collections, encourage policy renewals, and minimize lapses.
- Assist clients in initiating the insurance claims process smoothly when necessary.
3. Market Awareness & Reporting
- Participate in organized company activations, financial literacy campaigns, and community marketing drives in the region.
- Gather market intelligence and keep track of competitor offerings within the insurance and micro-savings sectors.
- Prepare and submit regular sales pipelines, client visit summaries, and activity reports to the Team Leader.
Position Requirements & Qualifications
- Holds a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognized institution.
- Motivated candidates holding a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (U.A.C.E / S.6 Certificate) are eligible and will be considered for a specialized sales support role.
- Prior background or working knowledge in active field sales, retail business development, or network marketing is a distinct advantage.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated, honest, and resilient under target-driven setups.
- Familiarity with the commercial geography, local languages, and business landscape of Kakira and Jinja is highly preferred.
Remuneration
Competitive, performance-based commission structures coupled with standard tactical financial incentives common to the insurance sales industry.
