Description

Bondrich Advisory Group is hiring a Drier and Grain Mill Process Operator responsible for managing and operating grain-drying machines that reduce moisture content of grain and operating machinery for producing milled grains and flour. This employee will also maintain quality of milled grains while in storage, generate production process data, attend to minor repairs and participate in scheduled maintenance on all drier and milling equipment.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Mill Process Operator shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Using a computerized system receive incoming grain, test the grain, and transferring the grain through a cleaning and drying process to the correct bin utilizing the available storage space as efficiently as possible.
  • Using a computerized system, a Grain Mill Operator carries out processes such as cleaning, de-stoning, de-husking, hulling, polishing and grinding to produce milled grains and flour(s).
  • Using an automated system, load out grain and milled products onto trucks.
  • Maintain the quality of the milled products while in storage by making periodic inspections, aerate the products if necessary, and make recommendations to the Production Supervisor on how to improve milling operations.
  • Blend all finished whole grain, milled grains and flours as necessary when loading out to achieve uniform grade.
  • Maintain the quality of the grain in the silos by making periodic inspections of all stored grain, turn the grain as necessary, and make recommendations to the Production Supervisor on how to improve grain handling operations.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities regularly; and follow housekeeping standards keeping facilities neat and clean.
  • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work and a favorable image of the Company.
  • Cary out any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, grain processing or related field.
  • Proven experience in grain drying, milling, or related operations.
  • Familiarity with industrial driers and milling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of drying and milling processes.
  • Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of food safety and grain quality standards.
  • Attention to detail and precision in operations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • May require shift work, including nights and weekends.
