Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Driller (Chief Drilling Engineer) for one of our clients COSL UGANDA-SMC LIMITED to work in the Kingfisher oilfield.

Job summary:
The Driller(Chief Drilling Engineer) will Responsible for the operation of drilling draw works, top drive and other equipment, is the main implementer of drilling and completion operations, is responsible for leading team members to carry out drilling and completion work, and is responsible for training drilling engineers-A

Key Roles and responsibilities
• In accordance with the inspection route to the Driller, well control equipment, drilling drawworks, brake system, anti-collision system, large rope, top drive system, tour car and manifold system for inspection;
• Have the ability to operate the top drive/brake handle skilfully, and be able to judge and deal with the complicated situation in time;
• Be able to correctly handle, judge and deal with underground accidents, be able to use salvage tools proficiently, and understand salvage procedures.
• Organize and arrange weekly inspection and maintenance of drilling winch, brake, dead-line fixer, top drive, manifold, instrument, energy storage, vibrating screen, traveling block, overhead crane, Derrick, etc.
• Be Responsible for leading the staff to check the equipment before operation, to ensure the equipment is in good condition;
• Drilling rig relocation, drilling, completion of the specific work, with mobile operation, disassembly wellhead, drill operation, drilling operation and other capabilities;
• Have the ability to check the measurement, mapping and accurate logging of the entry tools, and button up according to the torque requirement;
• Responsible for operation of blowout Preventer shut-in, reporting and recording of key parameters in well control exercises and emergency situations, and is the first responsible person for shut-in;
• Be responsible for keeping track of down hole condition, drilling tool structure, down hole tool performance and mud condition, report down hole complex condition immediately, and deal with it according to instruction;
• Be Responsible for evaluating the skills of team members and improving the weak ones;
• Responsible for team training and assessment, talk, to perform team leader management duties.
• As the master of drilling engineer-A (select those with outstanding performance in drilling engineer-B to be promoted to drilling engineer-A), personally teach relevant operations and techniques one-on-one, and lead drilling engineer-A to complete drilling and completion operations, the first year Teach the relevant operations and techniques to be mastered in drilling operations. The second year teaches relevant operations and techniques that need to be mastered in well completion operations. The third year teaches the operation and maintenance of automation equipment. The fourth year teaches the basic judgment and handling of complex underground situations; the fifth year teaches the judgment and handling of underground accidents; the sixth year teaches the selection and use of fishing tools, fishing operations and fishing procedures; the seventh year teaches well control equipment Management and well control emergency procedures through 7 years, to ensure that drilling engineer-A (Ugandan) can independently complete relevant operations, fully qualified for drilling engineer-A post requirements.

Mandatory Requirements
Education:
• College degree or above
• Strong professional knowledge, valid IWCF or IADC certificate.

Experience:
• More than 3 years working experience in offshore or onshore drilling, dealing with at least 3 well under complicated conditions

Knowledge:
• Integrity, good conduct, honesty and self-discipline.

Capability
• Have certain organization and coordination ability, execution ability, communication ability, expression ability;
• Master the relevant management system and relevant laws and regulations implemented by the position;
• Computer application and English communication skills to meet job requirements;

MISCELLANEOUS
• Under 50 years of age;
• Hold the relevant qualification certificates required by the company
