About Us African Evangelistic Enterprise – Uganda (AEE-U) is an evangelical Christian, interdenominational, non-profit making, non-governmental humanitarian organization. Established in Uganda in 1971 by the late Bishop Festo Kivengere, AEE-U is an affiliate of African Enterprise International (AEI), an international evangelical and development agency operational in 12 African countries. Our mission is to evangelize the cities of Africa through Word and Deed in partnership with the Church.

Position Overview
AEE-U is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Driver. As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient transportation for our staff. Your responsibilities will include maintaining vehicle cleanliness, adhering to traffic rules, and conducting regular vehicle assessments. Join us in our mission to make a positive impact in Uganda!

Responsibilities:
1. Safe Transportation: Drive staff to their destinations in a safe and courteous manner.
2. Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect and record vehicle conditions daily. Prepare weekly maintenance checklists.
3. Servicing and Documentation: Ensure timely servicing and maintenance of office vehicles. Keep service records and inform the supervisor of any renewals required (e.g., insurance, road license). Record and reconcile fuel consumption periodically using worksheets.
4. Road Assessments: Conduct daily assessments of road conditions and security situations.
5. Adherence to Rules: Strictly adhere to organizational and traffic rules and regulations.
6. Vehicle Care: Ensure proper care of assigned vehicles, including keeping all accessories in good condition.
7. Additional Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum of A-Level Certificate
• At least 5 years of verifiable driving experience
• Adequate verbal and written communication skills in English
• Clean driving record
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to lift luggage and heavy objects
• Knowledge or experience in mechanics
• Opportunity open to those between 35-50 years old.
• Position is open to Ugandan nationals only
