JOB DETAILS:
Makerere University College of Health Sciences, School of Public Health (MakSPH), Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics, in conjunction with UVRI-IAVI HIV Vaccine Program is conducting a phase Ill randomized clinical trial on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV whose short name is PURPOSE-1. The project requires the services of a qualified, licensed, hard-working and reliable driver.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure the assigned project vehicle is in good mechanical condition, has all the required statutory clearances and is road-worthy at all times
• Provide safe, comfortable and reliable transportation of staff. participants and logistics
• Perform periodic project vehicle maintenance support roles on the assigned vehicle, including preparation and submission of accurate maintenance records
• Ensure proper documentation of the assigned project vehicle movements
• Hand deliver biological samples to designated laboratories in a timely manner
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or the Principal Investigator but within the limits of the expected responsibilities of a driver
Qualifications
• A minimum academic qualification of A' level (UACE) certificate
• Minimum of 5 year's progressive work experience in a similar position
• A valid driving license is a MUST
• Ability to work for long hours
• A recommendation letter from LCl Chairperson of area of residence
