Description

Microhaem Scientifics and Medical Supplies Limited is hirng a Driver to drive and carry out operational and preventive maintenance of MHS vehicles.Vehicles

Reports to: Administration Officer

Type of Contract: Fixed Term

Supervisory Authority Over: None

Duty Station: Kampala

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Driving the MHS vehicle safely and chauffeuring MHS staff and official visitors to official destinations.
• Regularly cleaning the inside and outside of the vehicle.
• Transporting goods to and from the MHS warehouse and making deliveries of the same to clients’ premises/warehouses.
• Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and care of the vehicle.
• Running official errands and assisting with other office activities.
• Keeping accurate and up-to-date records using the vehicle and fuel log sheets.
• Monitoring and reporting the need for servicing of the vehicle and renewal of the insurance policy.
• Compiling the vehicle logbook correctly.
• Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least four passes, one of which must be in the English Language at Ordinary Level (UCE).
• Possession of a valid driving license (classes BE, CM, CH, DL, DM, DH)
• A certificate in motor vehicle repair is an added advantage
• Certificate in Defensive Driving is an added advantage.
• At least seven (7) years’ experience as a driver in a reputable private company or a manufacturing environment.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Time management.
• Must be physically fit.
