JOB DETAILS:

ENGINEER (Printer Service Engineer) at Ultra Uganda Ltd

Job Purpose:
The Printer Service Engineer provides technical support and maintenance services for a range of equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance.

Scope of Duties:

• Diagnose technical issues and perform repairs.
• Ensure equipment operates at peak performance.

Reporting Lines:
This position reports directly to the Repairs & Maintenance Supervisor.

Extent of Authority:
All operational and financial decisions are of a support nature.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualification & Experience:

• BSc. in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, or related field.
• Diploma in Hardware & Networking.
• Experience with large-scale machinery and equipment service sector.
• Strong understanding of lease management practices.

Complementing Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Technical troubleshooting and configuration skills.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

1. Install and configure printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
2. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on printing equipment.
3. Conduct inspections of lease equipment, resolving operational issues proactively.
4. Monitor production metrics and implement strategies to optimize performance and reduce downtime.
5. Provide technical support and user training to clients.
